Meditation Power:
How to Ramp It Up

Meditation power – how do you define it ? More importantly, how do you achieve it ?

According to Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, “Meditation is a method for acquainting our mind with virtue. The more familiar our mind is with virtue, the calmer and more peaceful it becomes.”

According to many proven practitioners, meditation power lies within the mind. When we learn to focus the attention of the mind, it becomes feasible to develop positive thoughts.

In Buddhism, the ability to obtain true power lies within. We have to conquer the fallacies found within ourselves before we can achieve anything real. From true happiness to enlightenment – all depends upon the ability to control the mind. Meditation becomes the major method of achieving this goal.

In essence, the teachings of the masters dictate that since happiness is only a state of mind, you need to reprogram the mind to achieve it. Once we've realized this goal, we transform ourselves. After we manifest this change, we can go on to transform the world.

The Benefits of Meditation

Transforming your perception isn't the only benefit of meditation. The positive results include several physical, emotional and spiritual ones. Among the most common are:

  • A deepening of self-awareness
  • A sense of well-being
  • Stress reduction
  • Peace and tranquility
  • Good health

These are all reasons why some people meditate. Yet, others include it as part of a religious practice.

Meditation and Religion

Meditation power is traditionally connected with Buddhism. Buddhism comes in many forms. It may be a philosophical approach. It can also be a manifestation of an ancient religion. In both instances, meditation is an integral part of the path to enlightenment.

From Shakyamuni Buddha to the current Dalai Lama, meditation power is a positive force in the universe. It's a guiding light to those who wish to become a Buddha, or at least escape a lower rebirth.

Yet, it's not only in Buddhist practices that meditation forms a tool for healing and salvation. Christianity also has had its form of meditations. In fact, many religions around the world, including those labeled “New Age,” currently practice some type of meditation.

Each sect or religious group has its own perception and method. Moreover, each approach has in common certain aspects. Many adopt or modify the most common techniques to obtain the maximum good from the practice.

Getting the Maximum Out of Your Practice

The first thing we all need to remember is simple: Meditation is not a singular act. It's an ongoing practice. In other words, if we wish to obtain the maximum out of it, we need to put into it our best and consistent effort. We will not be able to build on a foundation if we continually abandon it. To be effective, we must establish a meditation practice that occurs once a day every day.

To accomplish this goal, you need to consider the major components of every meditation practice. These are:

  • Preparation – this includes the place, time and environment
  • Contemplation – setting the scene for your meditation, may include focusing, yogic breathing
  • Meditation – the actual meditation
  • Dedication – to the course and also dedication prayers
  • Subsequent Practice

You also may need to consult an expert in order to do a correct practice and keep yourself on track.

Making a Difference

Consistency in a meditation practice will enhance your meditation powers. The healing power of meditation will produce positive benefits in your life. This will flow over into the lives of those close to you and those with whom you come in contact. Reaching this level is not an easy process. It takes time and devotion, but, as Buddha would say, it is definitely worth it.

What clients say

I went to Massimo for a healing session in which I experienced calmness and opening of my heart.
All the sadness I had as a child and images from my childhood went by and were gone. An hour treatment went by like ten minutes. In other times I experienced very deep meditations, quietness, yet very alert and awake. Thanks Massimo for helping me get in touch with the healing force within me.

- Liat, Netanya, Israel

For me, healing means integrity and the consistency of living my daily life, relationships and job in the way of my true "I".
Massimo has the rare ability to lead people, and therefore me, to
transform obstacles that stand between you and what you want to realize in available energy. He does so with great respect, patience and lack of judgment.
Massimo, thanks for all that I get from you.

When Massimo gave me healing sessions online, I experienced him as a sensitive and dedicated man who has the gift to sense into deeper layers of the soul and affect them in a gentle and non intruding way. His careful way of approaching the pain in my eyes and the feedback he gave me from his sensitive perceptions helped me to gain trust and confidence in my healing process.
