Depression Meditation
Helps in the Long-Term

Meditation has been known to provide relaxation to the mind and depression meditation is no different. Depression is one of the rising mental ailments that are affecting people of all ages. In the modern age, depression along with stress is the primary causes of a devastating and de-motivating life experience.

The question is whether meditation can really be helpful for those who are going through symptoms of depression. Can meditation offer an alternate cure to people suffering manic depression or bipolar disorder? The truth is that meditation involves the mind and can successfully assist in the healing for depression. In fact, research has proven that if you meditate regularly then it can reduce relapse of depression dramatically.

There are different types of meditation that you can follow in order to reduce depression or work your way out of it. One of the highly recommended is the practice of “Loving-Kindness” meditation. One of the important things to remember is that even though meditation is a possible recourse, it is not a magical cure or alternative medicine for different ailments including severe depression.

Understanding How Meditation Is Connected To Depression

One of the important things to understand is that meditation offers several paths that can directly or indirectly affect our mental and spiritual state. When you meditate, you not only focus on the mind but also channelize positive energy in and around you. This energy can help initiate the desired change that you are seeking mentally.

Depression meditation is a path that you can choose to harness the positive energy and to tune into the vibrations sensed by your mind. It will make you aware of the fact that you can choose the way you want to respond to a circumstance. For example: if a particular situation makes you irritable, you can choose to remain calm and leave irritability by viewing it as empty. That is the power that meditation provides.

So basically, meditation will help you in two ways. It is going to make you become aware of your mental state and also open your mind to the various choices you can make to propel your mind or mental state in the desired direction.

Another area where depression meditation proves to be extremely useful is the confusion created between feelings and thoughts in a state of depression. What you need to understand first is that when you change your thoughts, you will experience a change in how you feel.

So if you think you are feeling unappreciated then it is a thought and if you are feeling anxious then it is a feeling. There are some emotions that are attached to thoughts like feeling angry when you are unappreciated. Hence, it becomes essential to distinguish between thought and feeling.

One of the recommended meditations to distinguish between the two is mindfulness meditation. The confusion between thoughts and feelings often takes the form of anxiety and depression. Through mindfulness practice, you will be able to clearly see how emotions can produce a specific thought and vice versa. The objective of this type of depression meditation is to help change your thoughts and thus initiate a change of emotions.

What clients say

I went to Massimo for a healing session in which I experienced calmness and opening of my heart.
All the sadness I had as a child and images from my childhood went by and were gone. An hour treatment went by like ten minutes. In other times I experienced very deep meditations, quietness, yet very alert and awake. Thanks Massimo for helping me get in touch with the healing force within me.

- Liat, Netanya, Israel

For me, healing means integrity and the consistency of living my daily life, relationships and job in the way of my true "I".
Massimo has the rare ability to lead people, and therefore me, to
transform obstacles that stand between you and what you want to realize in available energy. He does so with great respect, patience and lack of judgment.
Massimo, thanks for all that I get from you.

When Massimo gave me healing sessions online, I experienced him as a sensitive and dedicated man who has the gift to sense into deeper layers of the soul and affect them in a gentle and non intruding way. His careful way of approaching the pain in my eyes and the feedback he gave me from his sensitive perceptions helped me to gain trust and confidence in my healing process.
